  I was referred to this medical imaging center from my family doctor for back and chest x-rays. I signed in and filled out little paper work and John Loebel greeted me with a friendly smile and performed and EKG. He was easy to talk too and was pretty funny. Mike the x-ray technician was also friendly and informative! The receptionist is rather stylish and friendly as well. My visit was pleasant and I would definitely recommend a friend or family member. I also got a FREE copy of a few of my x-rays! How neat! Although I didn't have to pay for anything, they have some pretty reasonable prices!!

  If you don't want to be out of pocket $1000 for your MRI, go there. It's worth the drive from the City out to Hoffman Estates. They are all professional and kind too.

  After receiving a list of MRI facilities associated with DuPage Medical Group, I called to make an appointment for my husband. Spent quite some time on the line giving all insurance information etc. Come to find out, they are not in network and even after spending all that time on the phone, this was NOT mentioned!! Since DMG is in network and they have so many locations, I thought this was just another one of them so I did not call insurance to check. And since they didn't mention not being in network after discussing insurance ad nauseum, I thought it was fine. Didn't mention it during check in. What the hell kind of place doesn't tell their patients they are not in network?? One that doesn't care about its patients!!! I'm totally disgusted!!! $5000 bill!!! Seriously, are they amateurs? Most facilities even do the pre-certification if it is needed. I can't believe this place didn't even care to mention it for something so expensive!! But I guess with the carelessness in healthcare these days I should not be surprised. Well so now since I can't pay that amount, now they'll ruin my credit!!!! I am so angry they could be so careless/greedy. You know out of network charges ridiculous prices. You don't get the insurance discount which is often steep. I bet they thought they can get more by not mentioning it. Gangsters! Smile in your face and steal from behind!
  
  I am leaving one star not because they aren't in network but because they did not mention it and had many xhances to do so. It is routine for clinician offices to ask for insurance during scheduling for the exact purpose of getting approval for the procedure beforehand. Otherwise, you could just get the card at check in! So if they were not in network, what was the point of spending 20 minutes on the line with the scheduler giving all these details? If the schedulers don't know (very amateur) then the pre-certifiers definitely would and a call should have been made. This is way too expensive! Not a simple doctor visit mistake!
