  Stacey J , a phlebotomist came in to draw blood for my 76 yr mother , didn't introduce herself, didn't tell her she is going to feel a poke, chided her for not relaxing well enough and then told my mother who had not spoken a word to this Stacey J and is lying in bed with a NG tube down her nose, that she was terrible and will need to be stuck again because of how terrible my mother was. St Alexius Medical Center this is just one of many similar experiences but by far the worst. Another patient's toiletries and admission papers were lying in the side table drawers in our room- just a few of the reasons we never leave our family alone at your hospital, unfortunately you are the closest one.
  
  And to update the EVS lady who comes to clean the room, didn't clean the bathroom in the morning, just came in to my Mom's room, cleaned the door, the tech was taking the blood sugar so a part of the floor was dirty, first waited at the door for 15 seconds then made a face and took the mop into the bathroom, cleaned the bathroom floor and brought the mop back to clean the patient room and walked out to the next room, the commode and sink are still dirty- Hopefully someone from HR at St Alexius is reading this before the Health Dept and JACHO. How many things do we complaint about, does the staff at St Alexius mop their bedroom floors with the bathroom mops?!?!?!

  To whom this may concern,
  
  I delivered my daughter on August 20th, 2017. As of right now I will never return to this hospital. I called in the beginning of December of 2017 to give the billing department my fathers insurance that I was under (I didn't realize I still was covered under his insurance)... It took them until FEBRUARY THE 13TH of 2018 to submit my charges at the hospital to my other INSURANCE. I called SEVERAL times (which they can see in the notes that have been left on my account) and they said they kept sending it to the billing department. Every time I spoke with someone they would feed me a new line of BS. Now, I called again today to check on my account and whats going on with it and apparently they billed out both of my insurances as PRIMARY and they both paid as PRIMARY. Everything is all SCREWED up and I'm extremely frustrated with ALL of this.... and they can NEVER actually give you a true 100% explanation of the situation. We are just the "call center" for the billing department. We are talking about MONEY here, that is just getting jacked around with. I still have to call the "call center" once a week to keep checking on my account. Before you know it will be damn near a YEAR before things get resolved. I don't see how it is so hard to get things right. 1. WHAT DID BOTH INSURANCES PICK UP. & 2. WHAT IS MY COPAY GOING TO BE AND from my understanding the hospital now has been over paid by my insurance (Let me add we already started making payments before the other insurance was added) and I still don't know my new copay with my primary and secondary insurance because both insurances PAID AS PRIMARY..... I hope this is resolved very soon. As much as I loved the new maternity area and the NURSES; I will still never go back because the amount of time to figure this out is absolutely ridiculous.... With as many times I have called, I should have been forwarded to someone in the actual billing department. At the end of the day I just want to know whats going on with my account, this was not like some sinus cold. I delivered a baby and the expenses for everything were prolly over 40,000. This is not something you screw up. I JUST WANT TO BE INFORMED & UNDERSTAND whats going on. -Anyone looking into going to this hospital make sure you stay on track with your account!
